I rebooted and got it to run for a few minutes again. I did that and it worked for a just a few minutes until it stopped worked after I walked away from the computer for awhile. Said to uninstall and reinstall the DisplayLink Drivers for Windows 10. Later, that laptop crashed and I bought a brand new one with Windows 10 Pro 64. I was using the AOC E1659Fwu USB powered monitor on a Windows 8.1 laptop and it worked fine. Only plug it in after you have completed all steps. Make sure, also, that your monitor is not plugged in until AFTER you download and install the driver. Run on Win 10 64bit, that's when I went hunting and found this page. The AOC driver worked fine when I upgraded to Win 10. I had an old machine that had Win 7 on it. Installed on you machine, make sure to run add/remove programs and remove all programs associated with your display link monitor first. Also, if you have the original driver already Use this generic driver specific for Win 10. The point here is don't use the specific E1649FWU driver found on the AOC website. Click "I accept" andÄisplayLink USB Graphics Software for WindowsÄownloaded driver. I went to Display Link site, clicked on "Download Drivers" now on top left of screen. Original AOC 1649FWU driver purchased with monitor would not load. Just updating this stream and what worked for me. AOC e1659Fwu USB monitor not working with Windows 10
